I’ve never been before. Do I need to book?

You only have to book if you want to come in with an instructor. This is not compulsory though, so you can always just turn up at your leisure, sign up, and off you go.

Do I have to wear a helmet and pads?

Helmets must be worn at all times while in the skatepark by anyone under 18. Pads, however, are at your discretion. Anyone over 18 may ride without a helmet if they so wish, but we do strongly recommend wearing full protective equipment at all times.

Please note that all helmets need to have a _____ rating. Bike helmets are not permitted in the centre.

I’m under 18. Do I need to come with a parent or guardian?

If it's your first visit, yes. New members can register online via this link and the parent or guardian listed on the form must be present to sign you in on your first visit. They do not need to stay once you are signed in, and they do not need to be present for any subsequent visits.

Can I bring my *insert age here* year old child?

Minimum age for anything in the centre is 4 years old. No exceptions. No, not even if it’s their 4th birthday next week.

Do I need to stay with my children while they skate?

We prefer children under the age of 12 to be supervised at all times, but don’t require it.

Can I spectate?
Yes, however at busier periods we impose a £3 charge. This is due to additional spectators reducing the maximum capacity in the park. Parents are obviously allowed in to supervise their children free of charge.

Where do I put my stuff?

We have lockers, all you need to do is bring your own padlock. Please note that Creation is not responsible for any valuables left or unattended items.

What are your opening hours?

We are open 10am-10pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We are open every day of the year, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day!

What time do I have to leave?
We ask everyone to start finishing to ride 15 minutes before the end of the day. A bell will sound in the park denoting the end of the day. The centre's doors close at 10.00pm in the week and 6.00pm on weekends, and all users must vacate the centre by this closing time.

Do you run session times?

With the current (trial) exception of Friday evenings for our Elevate BMX club we do not operate sessions. Since 10th November 2014 we abolished session times in favour of a simpler all day rate. Prices do differ from weekday to busier weekends and school holidays, so check out our entry prices page before you come.

Can I pay by card?

Yes, but we have a minimum spend of £2

If I come half way through the day, can I get a reduced entry price?
No. We have adjusted our pricing structure to reflect one day rate. If you turn up for the last three hours during the week, then we do have a special 'late' tariff of £7.00. If you decide to arrive at 4, 5, or 6pm then you will still have to pay the flat rate day fee.

What's your cancellation policy for instructed sessions?

All bookings are non-refundable.
Sessions can be rescheduled free of charge up to 14 days before your booking. Rescheduling a session within 14 days will incur a charge of 50% of the booking cost.
Any rescheduling is dependent on instructor availability, we cannot guarantee that your preferred date and time will be available.
Sessions may not be rescheduled on the day of the booking.

Do I need to be a member?

Yes, all users of the centre must have an in-date membership. All membership fees are used to cover our public liability insurance premium for the year.

I’m a student – is there a discount?

Sorry, there is no student discount for using the Skatepark.

Do you have a café on site?

We have a café that serves hot and cold food and drinks. The hot food is available at the following times:

Monday-Friday 5pm-9pm

Saturday-Sunday 10am-5pm

Weekdays during school holidays 10pm-5pm

Is there parking?

There is a small car park to the front and side of the building, free of charge.

Is there disability access?

There certainly is! We also have one disabled toilet.
